Come join the whole parish for an afternoon of games, food and fun celebrating our Patron Saint, Francis of Assisi! They don’t need the Youth Group to run a specific booth this year, but they still need lots of volunteers for shifts in the sweets booth, face painting / fake injuries, etc. If you want to volunteer please post a comment on this post. You can sign up for as little as 1 hour shifts. All volunteer time will count toward service hours for school, confirmation, etc. This week’s topic: “Lord, Help Me!” 4:00-5:30pm. Students are free to come over right after school to hang out or work on homework. All students in grades 6-8 are invited! Monday, September 19th is Kid’s Day at the fair. Students in grades K-12 get in free. The Youth Group will meet in the back parking lot of the church at 6:30. The concert starts at 7:30 and should be over around 9:30 or 10. If you need a ride please contact Matt at 405.317.4566 ASAP! Rock the Light is an annual Christian music festival at YouthFront, a Christian camp about an hour south of Kansas City. We went last year and had a blast. The festival provides an atmosphere where attendees can be entertained, can engage with those who share a love for Jesus, and can be enlightened through life and relationship building experiences. Rock The Light brings together the best collection of musical artists, fun activities and countless opportunities to connect with family and friends. The Youth Room will open at 4 and discussion will begin at 5pm. All students in grades 6-8 are invited! Feel like you’re growing up too fast? Does the Toys-R-Us jingle really speak to you? Wish you could just spend all day playing games without all that “responsibility” stuff? Then come to the High School Youth Group “Little Rascals” Lock-In! Play games, win prizes and discover how God wants us to be like little children. Thanks to Lexi & Lily for coming up with this idea!
