The focus of Adult Faith Formation is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth to all adult parish members that can be applied to our daily lives.
(CL) is a Catholic lay movement that began in the 1950’s in Italy under the guidance of Fr. Luigi Guissani. It is now present throughout the world, including here in OKC. The movement focuses on the faith as lived, present experience, relevant to life’s needs. The primary gesture of the Movement is a weekly meeting known as “School of Community,” in which a common text is read and discussed in the light of one’s own experience, thus verifying the Christian proposal and its capacity to respond to human needs in every aspect of reality. It also helps us grow in Christian maturity. CL meets Tuesday nights from 7:30-8:30 here at St. Francis in the Meerschaert House Library. Saint Pope John Paul II formally approved the movement in the 1980s, and Pope Benedict XVI is a friend of the movement. Contact Merideth Ochs at [email protected] or 405.429.9898.
Worship and Wine is a time to come together with other women and discuss our faith and everything that comes with it. If you are seeking a feminine community to strengthen your spiritual journey, please join us the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm in the parish hall. The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 1.
Ministry to Men will reconvene this fall with two series by Bishop Robert Barron, the first being The Eucharist and the second The Sacraments.
